Ross is an established Techno Dj and Producer originally from Leeds in England. He has recently set up a studio in Italy, where he spends a lot of time working on his own productions. He dedicates his efforts between Italy and his home country, organising events and playing gigs, continously trying to improve his contribution to the International Techno scene. Ross is also the founder and a resident of TUG (Techno Underground) which holds events in both the UK and Italy.
Ross has had a love for electronic music from a very early age. He remembers taping mixes off late night radio and listening to them at every opportunity; including during the more boring school lessons, on an old battered cassette walkman.
As soon as he had a little hair on his chin, he was gripped by the music scene and started attending Dance festivals and events.
At the age of 17 he began mixing his first tunes on a very cheap mixing console. It was around this time that he truly discovered his serious feel for music and realised that he wouldn't be satisfied with his life unless he followed his enormous passion for dance music.
At 18 he made the big decision that was to shape his future career in music. By packing in his first permanent job, he took the next step and went to university in Leeds to study music production. Whilst at university he managed to buy himself better equipment and worked relentlessly to improve his mixing technique. This led to his first gigs at ungerground parties and big "Leeds university style" house parties.
As Ross's ability continued improving, he began gaining recognition for his exceptional talent. It wasn't long before this recognition became the turning point of his career and he broke out onto the proffesional DJ scene.
In 2008 he founded his own night, TUG (Techno Underground) at the Mint Club in Leeds which has now expanded to Italy and as of August 2009 will also be a registered record label.
Nowadays Ross plays at clubs and events in Italy and the UK. His DJ experience isn't just limited to the club scene. Demand for his talent has taken him to other specialist events such as a performance at the Miss Adriatico beauty competition and performing on the main stage at a large festival on a beach in Italy. Also a produced track is being used in an advert for a new British clothing company.
Ross has a profound understanding of techno music and has a wealth of experience on both sides of the DJ booth. This experience helps him to give a great performance as he knows what the crowd wants to hear but also delivers an original and unique display of his talent. His sets are intricately mixed and always exciting to hear, Ross doesn't believe in playing a mediaochre set and always likes to include something special to enrich his performance.
The next few years look very promising for Ross as he continues to play more and more exciting gigs and is becoming well known for his excellent performances.
