After getting his first set of decks aged 14, Kenny Campbell has been hooked on electronic music ever since. Starting his record collection aged only 9, Kenny has been honing his sound and developing his natural talent for underground sounds for many years. After a few years playing mainly Hardcore and Hard Techno, under the guise of DJ Numbskull, Kenny discovered Trance and soon set about adding this sound to his repertoire. In 2003 Kenny played his first major Trance gig. He closed the night, playing from 3am til 6am. The beautiful setting of Loch Lomond provided the perfect backdrop for one the most memorable nights of his career so far.

Shortly after this Kenny discovered the new Minimal Techno sound that was emerging from Berlin. This was then integrated into Kenny’s ever growing musical styles and after a few months of playing this new sound out to a predominantly Trance audience he started to pick up bookings at more techno based clubs.

Whilst playing at these clubs, and through his residencies at Sensations and Tek-Noize Kenny was able to develop two distinctly different approaches to music, one based on Techno and the other Trance. In 2009 Kenny took a massive step into DJ technology and started to DJ digitally. This step away from the traditional DJ paradigm allowed him to build more unique and dynamic sets through having more control over how he played and manipulated music. Each and every time he played from now on would be completely unique experience. Kenny was no longer thinking in a 'linear' manner and was able to build layers of sounds and remix and re-edit tracks completely live.
