This guy eats, sleeps and mixes music! That’s what he gets up for in the morning, either to mix or to listen to new tunes.
With a massive and varied selection of vinyl and cds, Kelvin K AKA Lazarus loves playing the classics in some of his styles, and he’s mad about progressive trance, which borders the tech-house genre.
He feels, with Hard Dance/Trance it is mostly remixes or using the same old sample and thinks going back is the way forward (especially in the trance world anyway). With lots of rare and deleted tunes as well as white labels, back catalogue and test presses, he can mix most styles of dance music from House to Trance and the in between. Playing Hard Trance he is very good and brings in the beafy baselines and cuts up the mix. He can also bring in a sample of a tune in, and then out to tease the crowd, and sometimes interacting with them, jumping around like a loon, and doing the infamous ‘1,2….1,2,3,4!!!’
Playing Progressive, Techy kind of Trance (which is his main style) he is more laid back and technical, but still gives off the same vibes and keeps his presence, which is essential for a dj.
